Windows are a channel to the other side. They separate one world from another. They can be are a frame for life, a social commentary or just a simple reminder of how lucky we are to have a roof over our head when it rains. I’ve found the separation and contrast windows create very interesting ever since I first got started with photography. Visually and metaphorically, they speak volumes and often make for images that take more than one look to fully grasp.
